PHASE 1 – Runway 4R-22L/Taxiway B: This phase will remove the asphalt between Runway 4R-22L and Taxiway D along Taxiway B. New, angled taxiway exits (new D5 & D6) will be constructed, and elevated runway guard lights will be installed. This phase will commence on Monday, January 9, 2012. The runway is tentatively scheduled to be closed for approximately 8 weeks until Friday, March 2, 2012. To assist pilots with taxiing to and from Runway 4L-22R during the first phase of the construction project, a taxi procedures diagram, which has been coordinated with the FAA air traffic control tower.
PHASE 2 – Runway 4L-22R/Taxiway B: This phase will remove the asphalt between Runway 4L-22R and Taxiway E along Taxiway B. New angled taxiway exits (new E2 & E3) will be constructed, and elevated runway guard lights will be installed. This phase will commence after completion of Phase 1, and the runway is tentatively scheduled to be closed for approximately 8 weeks.
